True Friendships Are a Treasure

I can't remember when we met 
Or how our friendship began
But I do know that knowing you
Must have been part of gods plan

You have a way 
Of bringing fun to a gloomy day
With a little joke or a funny comment
You can send a little laughter my way

In today's world 
Friendship is much easier to be made
Social media brings friends together
Even if they might never meet to share a lemonade

True friendships are a treasure
That can never be duplicate
It's something to be thankful for
And an event to celebrate

So I want to wish you a happy birthday
Even though I won't get a piece of your cake
Its still ok because having a friend like you 
Can never be a mistake

A Friend Like You
Is a very special find
Someone who is honest
And never afraid to speak your mind

A friend that is brave and bold
But still simple and funny
A friend who sees the brighter side of life
Even when outside is not sunny

The meaning of being special,
is found in a person like you.
A friend who is so thoughtful,
in everything, you say and do.

A friend who betters the world
by being a part of it each day.
Someone who touches people hearts 
in a special, and unique way

the true colors of a friend
can't be hidden from our view
especially a person like you
who in the world are very rear and few
 
This friend I have found in you,
is as special as one could be.
And I am so blessed in my life,
that you've been a friend to me
