True Friends Forever

When you're weary, feeling small
I’ll be by your side forever more.
Through good times and bad
We’ve been best friends -
Here for each other
Until our lives on earth end.
We’ve shared a bond
All of our life
Secrets remain … secret
In you I have total trust
A friend so rare and precious
our bond will remain forever
Until our lord returns us to dust

Lindsay Laurie July 31, 2015 at 8:39 PM Hello Jan... true friends are gold shaped into human form, and we all need those special people in our lives to lift us when things can get a little bit rough, as well us needing to be there for them - good luck Jan - Lindsay Jan Allison July 31, 2015 at 8:48 PM Wise words indeed Lindsay -when Bob had his surgery there were friends who had been on the cancer journey too and were there to support us every step of the way - we are truly blessed to have people like that in our lives - my father didn't support me at all - wouldn't let me tell mum and the pressure on me was immense as he expected me to care for mum and act as normal - if it wasn't for starting to write poetry I don't think I would have coped:-( hugs jan xx
