True Colors

I looked at you The mask falling off Seeing your true colors. The person I thought You were. The person I saw while I grew up. I learned it was just a part you played. You never were truly that person I thought you were. The person you truly were now Smirking at me. While ripping my child Out of my arms. Watching me break To pieces. While you let me Fall apart. Not willing to help me Put the pieces back together. The person I called family Was never there for me. You held all the cards I was just part of Your little game You love to control. And I was the fool Who fell for your tricks The cheese piece you Thought you could Move However you want. You kicked me down Thinking I would stay down But I got back up Burning the bridges Between us Promising myself I would Never come back.
