to my heart
I say open
open wider than
you believe you can
I tell my soul
be completely free
freer than you dare
my spirit
hears me say
be peaceful but wild
my mind screams,
"What about me?!"
to which I respond,
"Shut up, you ignorant child!"

Thank you for that kind comment. I actually got that line from my mom. We were having a pleasant discussion and she jokingly said, "Shut up my ignorant child!" lol Then she gave me some advise. she said, "Christy, honey, you think to much with your mind. Start thinking from the spirit God gave you". That's what inspired this poem. I'm happy you liked it. I'm enjoying your poetry too.
