Notes About The Poem

Triumphant Against Self

Battling against selfishness and pride my human nature succumbs to temptation zest yielding vulnerably, impotent midst prayerlessness... now, I surrender to the Saviour for victory claiming His strength. As triumphant* warrior toward reaching-out pursuits conquering apathy midst haughtiness' dominion my spirit finds succor in God’s omnipotence anchored upon faith-propped might... grateful for His grace.
Psalm 92:4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. August 14, 2020 Edited on February 8, 2022 1st place, "A STRAND (1069)" Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 2/9/2022.
