Lord knows that I really tried I unsuccessfully tried to stop Loving you. On the very top Of my list that’s what I had. I tried to follow your ideas As you have rejected me Like an unwanted sick baby In my head, you’ve put fears. I tried and I cried like a child In the absence of his mother I found you strange and wild. Lord knows, I tried very hard To forget you like a thunder I dismally failed and I cried.
