Tribute To Negative People

Here’s to all the negative people
You know how the story goes
If brains were freakin’ dynamite
You couldn’t blow your nose
When people make rude comments
They act without common sense
If you’re negative and reading this
I hope you take offense
When I hear about my friends put down
Every bone in my body cries
If you rub yourself with Preparation H
You’ll probably shrink in size
So if this makes you pout and cry
I didn’t mean to put you down
Besides someone already wrote a song
About the tears of a clown
I’ve changed my ways in recent days
And try to act with class
If I had run into you twenty years ago
You would have been laying on your @ss
So take your sarcasm somewhere else
And leave our poets alone
And try to find your self-esteem
In a place called the twilight zone.

Dedicated to those who need to
Make negative comments.

Had to read this again, Vince, since things haven't settled down as much as I had hoped when I wrote my first comment here. Now we have to block the "Mrs." too!

Hey Vince.. We should make up a rule about no poet Bashing... its uncald for.. It hurts poeples feelings.. it makes poeple want to quit. and just dont let this sight put up with it.. I just got back here and I see a big problem.. the last sight I was on would not put up with that.. even if your a paid member.. your out for poet bashing.. But then again I have no Ideal on whats going on.. as long as its not me .. Im fine.. stay warm in Florida.. Jack..

Awesome Dude! I see, "The Navy is on the go." I just love the flow of the words and the message. We don't need negative people in this family of poets. We are about positively lifting up each other in our craft. Great job! ~Joseph

While the topic is a serious one to which we can all relate, you have some very amusing lines. Love the comparison to the hemorrhoids! Also, the Twilight Zone reference made me laugh. Of course the laughs started near the top with that clever line about "dynamite." Awesome writing with a welcome message! Way to go, Vince! Love, Carolyn (Things to seem to be settling down a bit, don't you think?)

This is priceless !! I am smiling and laughing and agreeing with each line of your poem...perfectly said, with humor, but truth!! A coward sits behind his computer screen feeling some kind of misguided power...how sad for him! Loved this Vince !!
