Tribute To My Friends (Part 1)

As our lives draw closer each day
to an end,
I know it would have all meant nothing, if I
couldn’t have called you “Friend”.

I wanted to write special words in your
own special poem.
One that would touch the hearts of each one
of you that I have known.

But I don’t think there’s enough paper or
ink to cover my thoughts,
About the happiness you’ve all given me, and
the lessons that you’ve taught.

I’ll start with Deborah, the angel in
my heart.
She’s been a true “sister” to me
from the very start.

Her smile invites me into her soul
like the bright morning sun.
Even when I was I loser, she made
me feel like I’d won.

Her eyes see right into the deepest
part of my pain.
Let’s me know she’s been there too and that
it wasn’t all in vain.

Then there is my “Rock of Gibraltar”
named Millie..
Unconditional love she has given me,
showed the true love of God.
Without her, where would I be.

She always stands tall in that short little
body she lives in.
She prays every day to say “Thanks” for
all she’s been given.

A true pillar of strength. One that’s always
nurtured my very being.
I just want to say to her, “Without you,
I would be nothing.”

Diana, Diana, my true friend
in crime.
The fun I’ve had with you will be
with me until the end of time.

When I was with you, I always felt
like a child.
Made me just want to play on the beach, made me
want to be wild.

The laughter between us always brought
us to tears.
You always made me feel so young. You
helped take away the years
