“Amazing Grace” never grows old A hymn for all times and places Even the most jaded will sing it I’ve heard it in barroom spaces ‘Tis often sung in worship services By the choir and the congregation, The story of John Newton is told How the slave trader found salvation. An English cleric of some renown Words he wrote tell us he became free, “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me,” “I once was lost, but now am found Was blind, but now I see.”

A wonderful song and tribute poem, Milt. I can certainly identify with this beautiful song. Just thinking about the grace of God can bring me to tears. Blessings, Bill My dad's favorite hymn.

Milton such a wonderful tribute to a man who suffered and wrote through emotion and love for God the greatest or one of, the best Christian hyms of all time. I hope you had fund at the Kentucky fair and got to visit with your friend and enjoyed the food and some of the folks. I am taking a little time off the Soup but had to stop by and read at least one of you and Gershon's lovely Poetry. I hate not being able to participate more but I need to stay away from the computer. I will try and catch..

I do, too, Caren. You just can't beat "Amazing Grace."
