TRI Break Up Advice

When dealing with a love-sick fool
One must be strict and must be strong
And follow this one simple rule
Don't let them be a hanger-on

One must be strict and must be strong
To bring such foolishness to end
And a new love then to begin

And follow this one simple rule
Say, "no", I know it's hard to do
But all else just would not be true

Don't let them be a hanger-on
You must just say a quick good-bye
No matter how I beg or cry

You ruthless heart-breaker, you! LOL! ... Actually, I agree with you. The longer hopelessness lingers, the more damage is done!... That said, very glad I have not been involved in these kind of affairs of the heart for decades! ~ Mr. Happily Married

Hi Crystol, Firstly All the best for the contest. Your poem is so true. Better to cut the 'hanger on' off and make room for a new love - Lol. I wish to show my appreciation on your comment on Tom's and my 'Mary Rodgers' video. My latest video 'Where is The Love Mamma' deals with a similar issue. Best watched on a big screen with full sound. Mobile is Ok too. Click on the image to take you to my Youtube channel. You are welcome to share on FB if you like - the world needs awareness. 'Beyond the Titanic' , the previous one is on a happier note. Maria PS I noticed you like Chihuahuas. We had two long haired ones at different times. Beautiful but feisty little creatures. Sadly when then the last one passed, we couldn't bring ourselves to get another.

Great poem, Crystol. I love the first line. It's great advice, but how often is it taken by stubborn love-sick fools - lol? Don't ask me how I know!

Ha! Was going for a drum beat at the end of the last line...badumdum... and at least a grin. Self deprecating humor.<3

It does... never a fun time. Although to remain able to laugh helps! It's good medicine to laugh at ourselves from time to time. Xoxo
