Treasured Moments
Inside womb’s gentle fortress
babe safely thrived
nurtured well
with loving care
while her mother treasured
her as precious gift…
expecting for her arrival.
Now in the Intensive Care Unit
she, in her golden years
earnestly beseeches God
for mother’s life-extension
so they can both cherish
redeeming time* as diamond
midst their togetherness.
*Ephesians 5:15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
