Treasure Map

I found a treasure map
And I gave it a look
Gathered some things
I took off a foot

Consumed by a force
A desire to see
A must have feeling
To get what I need

The hunt is now on
I'm not in the trail
I shall find it I must
I can't at all fail

As I walk and I wonder
What the treasure could be
A lust for such wealth
Yes it took over me

As I inch even closer
The the X on m my map
No I cannot wait
To find it at last

Finally I make it
The spot I must search
I hope to find treasure
Full of much worth

So I dig and I dig
I keep digging down
I hit something solid
I think that I found

What it was I was looking
Hoping to find
A treasure so vast
To call it all mine

Now excited as ever
A chest I have found
I hoist it on out
Place it on the ground

I take hold of the lid
Excitement within me
I opened it up
To find it was empty
