Treasure

Treasure each moment and
build a palace of memories—
so strong it will endure.
Then present it to
the builder of eternity
and ascend into the infinities—
the way lit with
a lantern of good works,
glowing brightly,
until at last
you're bathed in
peaceful light—
beyond your mind's
most sublime
contemplation.
Put it in your heart
to do this.

Dedicated to my dear friend, Jan Allison and her husband who has a significant health challenge. Remember them, as you read this poem.

Hi Mike, thank you for sharing this lovely, emotive dedication with us! Life is indeed short and fragile and we have to cherish the time we spend with the ones we love. Jan is a very special person and I am so sorry to learn about her hubby's health challenges. They are both in my thoughts and prayers! Hugs and best wishes. Pandita

Maybe I wrote this just for you Jan. You are special to me, so I'm going to append a dedication to you and your husband of this poem.
