I’m walkin’ down this road Lord Don’t know where it’s taking me Goin’ in circles take my hand here it is Help me to jump these potholes Lost my soul went searchin’ still Lord I don’t know which road to take Be my vision and show me Where to look I cannot see There are places I don’t want to be Places I don’t want to see But I had to be there Lord I spoke to her she didn’t answer It happened before I hope it doesn’t happen again But it will I told you I loved you so many times But you didn’t believe me Maybe you did but life was unkind That’s life even in death Maybe I’ll see you when I’m in town Away from here somewhere eternally quiet We’ll run into each other away from here On some street, it happens when I close my eyes And shut out the laughter the cursing and leave this angry world It happens in a town but not here Frank Black Blacharczyk
