Pyramids of plastic in our oceans are demonstrations for our responsibility as stewards of our planet. Look around, Mother Earth is taking her revenge! There is a way, if you mix crunched (pulverized) plastic into asphalt it makes our streets stronger, one way of keeping our streets longer. 🏍 Good Job, faving. Robert

Oh yes this one hits hard! The elements that have been polluting our environment and the ecosystem, very profound how you've described "plastic pyramids are forever monuments" sigh that's very alarming and concerning. About microplastics yes they are the most concerning ones, with anything being made of polymers n polythene. They are harsh on life, be it any! And nature! 😢❤️‍🩹 Thank you dear Anaya, for raising awareness here with your poetic voice, you are inspiring! It's actually my thing to cry out , shout outs of the devastation, sweet poetess. I'm pleased this little poem hits hard, its for the future gens, as you are the youth that shall carry this burden & feel its affects if we dont take measures today. I'm a ♻️er & I love it, finding ways to reuse! Did you know that in the fashion world, most chiffon used for scarves, hijabs is made from 100% polyester because it drapes well & resists wrinkles. Traditional polyester is not biodegradable & takes anywhere from 20 to over 500 years to break down in the environment. It's all so very interesting 🧐 Hiya, the more we learn, the quicker we can help the sea creatures as well. Rosy stars & hugs are just what's needed, thank you oh so much! 🐠, 🐡, 🪸, 🪼, 🐬, ~🫠

Dear Anaya, what a brief, razor-sharp piece that hits with a heavy, necessary truth. Annie Leonard’s quote sets the ideal backdrop, but your lines drive it home with Anaya intensity. Calling those floating masses of plastic "forever monuments" is an unsettling image. It flips our usual idea of ancient history on its head, forcing us to face the unintended, permanent legacy we’re leaving behind in the natural world. Yet, ending on that final imperative to turn trash into art offers a small, vital spark of agency. We can't undo the footprint we've made, we still have the creative power to reshape our choices, rethink what we discard, and find new purpose in what remains. Amen! Blessings, Daniel

Plastic images in our oceans are unsettling & we, Daniel are very lucky to have a platform for making such images obtainable for those who are unaware. Trash is a sad, emotive topic for me. I've cried at the sight of litter just driving to the grocery store (no PMS involved.) What the hey is wrong with people, 'they know not what they do.' Your write is loaded with the right 'tone' when sarcasm kicks in after crying. Don't you frown over the unnecessary packaging for something such as a wee moisturizer unearthed after filling a small trashcan to find it? What the hey people? GOOD job, right on/sad topic plus all Alison wrote. CayCay

I laugh, I sigh, I too feel passionately, dear CayCay. Your dissection taken well, I learn of myself from your dissertations & Y E S ! cereal boxes, the wrap is enough, but the plastic called polymer, I think, is most concerning...plastics can fragment into smaller pieces through sunlight, wind, and mechanical forces, these microplastics do not biodegrade and can persist in ecosystems indefinitely, yikes! Yes, Alison is delightful & insightful & an accomplished poet. TY! 👍 Thanks for ♻️ing!
