Trapped In My Own Thoughts
Trapped in my own thoughts
Years have passed by as I still writhe in pain,
Grief nibbles slowly of my deep inside,
Hunting joy in pool of negative thoughts,
succumb to my own false perceptions.
Melody seems to lose to dissonance,
Altruism read as animosity,
Nurturer confounded as assassin,
Creator misconstrued nefarious.
Waiting to be rescued in murky night,
Yet not wanting to trust visibly kind,
Thrown further in centre of the whirlpool,
I swirl fast to rest on tranquil seabed.
