Trapped

I'm trapped.
I cry. I kick. I scream.
No one hears me, or so it seems.
My only escape is when I dream.
Only there can I be free.
If someone hears me, they turn away.
No one wants to face the pain.
All I need is someone's hand.
Pull me out.
Help me stand.
I'll find the strength to walk away.
I promise, you don't have to stay.
Just help me out.
I swear I'll run.
I'll let it go.
I swear I'm done.
I'll stand alone, and I'll stand free.
Just help me out.
I'll stand by me.
