Translucence

Didn't expect it
Neither did you,
I suppose
Clear as day
Still remember
That look on
His face
Usually closed off
But not that day
Clear as glass
I do remember
It was everything
The hurt
Disbelief
Bitter envy
A touch of
Melancholic
Regret?
Do you?
Do I?
I didn't know
How to deal with that then
I don't even know
Now
Bitterly cold
Winter days
No predictions of a
Winter wonderland
It was clear
But nothing is clear
Because I can't see
Past the horizon
