In the end, what is there to be, but alone? To recognize at last and say goodbye To all those things that were not I; To join the others who wait eternal For another touch of another breath that is life; The passage that returns and returns, As we start alone, and end alone, And in between have those great and grand adventures, Where each awakening is a reconnection to the memory Of that other part of ourselves; Once separate, Then joined, Then not.
