Tragic Death of a Child
Like a moth
in a candle flame
your light went out
so suddenly
your untimely death
hit me so hard
my heavy heart
is still beating
yet it beats
in my chest
like a lead balloon
this terrible news
it’s dragging me

I can’t begin
to imagine the pain
of losing a child
at any age
here today...
gone tomorrow
life is so fragile
In memory of a Katie Robley - a lovely student I’d worked with at school, she was tragically killed in a car accident at the weekend ... she was just 19, her boyfriend is in a critical condition.
I’d just spent 3 days in London with my son and the dreadful news has hit very hard.
