Toxic Inferno

Flames licked my flesh
And kissed my brow
Dancing from my fingertips
Spiraling my body
Issued from my soul
Forming an aura
A lovely little heat
Burning the toxins
That infiltrated my heart
Cleansing the strings
Everywhere the toxins burned
And I danced with the flame
Engulfed but enraptured
When all is said and done
When the flames have disappeared
I shall stand anew
Like the phoenix
After toxic inferno

powerful message and great use of metaphor...always feels great to stand above the downside of life...

Absolutely. The road to happiness is paved with sorrow.
