Touch Therapy - 7

Have our Inner Children outgrown our hustling hearts, have they become quiet rather than curious about love, do you remember the first time your Inner Child screamed at the world justly, can you recall the original jiggle that gifted happines's riddle, I want your Inner Child to climb the trees of my eyes, to draw enigmatic pictures about how my heart beats for you, I want your Inner Child to trust the tone of my voice, to feel safe in the storm as long as I'm there to care, I want our Inner Children to remind us why love listens to laughter and why creativity plays freely in their impulsivity, I want you to teach my Inner Child how to reach into adulthood's padamonium and reveal the secret of eternal joy... This touched something quiet and sacred, J.A.B. I love how you ask love not to perform, but to remember--to reach backward and inward. The imagery is just exquisite. It turns longing into play, and love into safe rebellion. And that closing line? “Reveal the secret of eternal joy...” --feels like the whispered mission of every heart still carrying its Inner Child forward. Thank you for this beautiful reminder that laughter and healing are forever intertwined. --Alesia

A plea to return to the hearts natural rhythms— the inner child meeting the complexities of adulthood.. dancing between nostalgia and hope..claiming perhaps the original spark. Always, Laura

"The heart's natural rhythms", perfectly assessed Poetess. Innocence, trust, love, freedom..."original spark", how vulnerable, and powerful that Spark is. Oh how this world targets it...J.A.B.
