Touch My Heart

You have reached to touch my heart
Taken the time to listen and care
Special moments embrace me to share
Bridging the gap when we’re apart

You have listened, heard me many times
Offered empathy with each turn
Knowing loss like a flame, can burn
Here are my thankful words in rhymes

Thank you for the tears, you’ve dried
Thank you for understanding more
Thank you for opening the door
To welcome me, when I’ve tried

Thank you for touching my heart
Giving me, a special place to be free
Encouraging all that I do, from what I see
Supporting me these ways from the start
