Too Much Noise
Too Much Noise
This world is full of so much noise
It’s intended to drown out his voice
He’s a soft-spoken one that’s clear to me
But he’s given us all the choice
Those in the city wherever they look
See the things that bring glory to men
They pump up their arms, they say we‘re the way
The sword is mightier than the pen
Tarmac and steel, it’s all so unreal
They’ve covered his work in concrete
You can’t see the sun or the moon anymore
We suffocate the earth under our feet
If you just get away from all that traffic
Fill your lungs with some clean air
You’ll find he has so much to say
When he finds a listening ear
The waves of the sea, the clear mountain spring
They’re helping you with thinking
They’re guiding you and protecting you
To what you should or shouldn’t be drinking
If you drink from the sea you’re never refreshed
If you keep on they say you go mad
Just one glass from that mountain spring
Is all it takes to make one glad
You’ll feel better too, see things anew
The picture will get ever clearer
As you drink from that spring, it can’t help but bring
Its source ever nearer and dearer.
