Too Much News

Too much news is too much transparency A 24-hour cycle of news is more than I need I want only a headline telling what took place Do not give me all the gory details, indeed! I do not need “talking heads” explaining to me What I can understand with just the facts I can make up my own mind about an event Let me decide for myself how an action impacts. Quite honestly, sometimes ignorance IS bliss I am not disarmed by a lack of news reports, I’ve discovered I am happier for not knowing, Especially sassy politicians' constant retorts. What’s essential for me to know, I can find out After all, I can always inquire of my wife For she has never lacked for good information And I never disagree … who needs the strife?

Lucky you, as I receive only 12-minutes of news in a 30-minute broadcast (18-minutes of ads), and that news seems to be managed by Chinese and Russian hackers who want us to believe Biden is a failure (quite opposite to Asian & European newscasts) whereas Trump is a victim (Trump really needs a bier). Aloha!

I hardly ever watch the news on TV. Actually, I hardly ever watch TV. You've made good points.

I think so, Jenna. I simply don't need all of the gloom and doom messing with my day. Especially all the things I can do absolutely nothing to make better.

This is perfect "I can always inquire of my wife For she has never lacked for good information" - I disregard the "so called news" - now that we have no standards.

Milton I agree with you a hundred percent. I am just as tired as you are. It must be the older we get the smarter. Like you say we can figure it out by ourselves just give us the facts. I like you miss Walter Cronkite I can watch him do the news everyday he was a true professional. Someday these media companies will understand but in all honesty I don't think they care. They are constantly pushing their agendas on us and creating a mindset. The great news of yesteryear is long and forgotten...

I'm afraid this is the case, Michael.

No news is good news... A few minutes on twitter, and that's about it these days. I do believe both TDS and BDS are largely caused by the 24-hour news cycles.

Quite possibly, Jeff. Quite possibly. We are inundated not so much with news as we are with someone's opinion about the news.
