Too Much and Nothing At All
How do you know when it's over
When every last angry word has fallen
Perhaps it's when the words are frozen
Hanging there in contemplation
Never to be said..
It's not that there is no longer the love there
It's the passion that's been scuffed out
That fire that reaches even the darkest places of the soul
It's just mere embers now
Nothing to help it ignite
With no desire to warm..
Maybe it's just that the heart is tired
Tired of the hurt
Tired of the fight
Tired of feeling everything
And than nothing all at once..
