Tonight's Lesson
Sometimes I wonder of I'm ready for the world,
ready to face the challenges of being human,
too many mistakes to be made,
too many things could go wrong,
I wonder all too often if I won't make it in the world,
and I dread the next day,
for I know I will be closer to the day when I'm on my own,
every day is precious,
and because of this I hate them,
caught up doing things that prepare me for the world to come,
so that I cannot do the things I could be doing before my time,
but I still stay up at night and worry.
