Tonight

If you was mines only for tonight 
I'd stare in ya eyes & tell you how beautiful you look
I'd thank you that you took the time 
to get to know me and baby,
If I'm not holding you right I want to show me
I'd speak from my heart instead of thinking
of something slick to say and hopefully 
when tonight is over I'll hear from you the next day.

If you was mines only for tonight 
I'd take you a place you never been
we'd take a walk while by the sunset 
and I'd tell you how me & you meeting was a blessing
I read you a poem that I hadn't waste yet
and If you was my woman we'd take 
this journey of love step by step.

If you was mine for tonight 
I'd show you exactly out of a relationship what you were missing
I'd look right in ya eyes & not just pretend like I'm listening
I'd sing for you even though I wasn't blessed wit a voice
and let you know even though I might not see you again
for tonight you brought me joy.
