Tomorrow's Dawn

TOMORROW DAWN
BY LAWRENCE M. NUNEZ

Arise my brother, it is tomorrow
It is the dawn of a new day
as brothers we will band
together we will stand
our leader is on the way

our souls cries out to our fathers of old
for along the way we’ve lost the gold
Losing our children, not in pride
to gang violence and those that will ride.
But hope cometh only with tomorrow’s dawn

Oh great leader be true we pray
For many are trying to lead us astray
In sheep clothing and words to woo
They claim they know, you know who
Dividing they conquer, they refuse to stand

Arise o’ great leader appointed from above
guided by the our ancestors as instruments of love
Lead us to the promise Land where plantain grows
the fishes run wild and the cool breeze blows
give our offspring hope for the dawn of a new day.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
