Tomorrow's Child

Verse 1

                Tomorrow's Child

                 I saw the world
in a cracked cellphone screen-
our faces pixelate,
our prayers lag, but the song
of hope
still downloads
bit by blessed bit.

Verse 2

At The River Bend

We met where lilies drift in tune,
The sun slow dancing with the dune,
The fish were gossiping below,
While willows whispered soft and low,
Love bloomed that endless afternoon.

Verse 3

The Grinning Glass

You paint your truth in borrowed shade,
Pretend your soul ain't frayed-
The mirror grins, it knows your sins.

Your mask still fits, but its too tight
Can't breathe through painted light-
Your eyes confess,
The quiet mess

So take it off, you'll see at last,
The face you tried to blast-
Still yours,my dear,
Still here,still clear.
