Notes About The Poem

Tomorrow Never Comes

They say tomorrow never comes believe me it’s so true, I’ve got a massive list of tasks I’ve got to do. I shouldn’t put off those jobs until a rainy day, and all my good intentions just add to the delay. My desk is very messy there’s a growing pile of dust, I say I’ll tidy up tomorrow I‘ll do it, yes I must! I know the root of my trouble I come up with an excuse, and by saying I’ll do it tomorrow’ it really is no use. So I’ll stop procrastinating and I’ll forgo the sunny weather, but I can’t tidy up today - I’m having lunch with Heather! Tomorrow Contest Sponsored by Edward Ibeh 11/26/18

Oh that's a good one; may I recommend subliminal tapes re. procrastination. I've used them and that is the one subliminal that worked best for me. Great poem.

For more than 60-years I've preached 80% of everything you do is routine, so do the routine first, but it is human nature to ignore the routine and tackle what is new, exciting, challenging, etc., to make the day worthwhile, after which there is seldom time to tackle the routine, creating a backlog. Of course, if you win by ignoring the backlog to write a poem, you'll be right as rain! Aloha! Rico
