Tomorrow
50 years ago, life was lived in a more simpler place and time.
We played checkers, chess, dominoes, and other low tech table games.
We did our best to avoid consequences, misdemeanors, and other higher crimes.
I honestly think there was an air of richness, and our lives possessed more profits and gains.
Our communities were more tamed back then. But now, there's so much about us that has changed.
Do we not often wonder,
Is all the change worth the pain?
Our lives, our families, our jobs, and careers are far more complex and complicated.
Our hopes and dreams are still intact, but our fears are being stretched to the max.
Far too many millennials are being led astray; others are filled with apprehension and dismay.
Still others are covered in grey, not knowing what to say. However, it's vital that we remain firm believers in 'today'.
I believe that 'tomorrow' still has promise, and many evils of 'yesterday' have already been abolished.
And there is so much about 'yesterday' that I treasure; so many lessons learned, equipping us for a positive 'future'.
It's not that 'yesterday' is something to be lived again or reverted to. Einstein learned from prior geniuses; 'yesterday' helps us build 'tomorrow'.
