Tombstone Blues

Wooden sidewalks,
"Bird Cage" ghost,
Of the many places
I've been,
This one favored the most.

Sippin' on a beer
In the "Crystal Palace"
Admiring history
Like a holy chalice...

"Amourous Angie"
Invites herself
to our table,
Openly stating
That she is able
Of pleasing us
In any way...
I thought that I
Would never see
such a day...

Remarkable woodwork,
Roulette table,
Impressive mirror,
This was no fable...

A tourist trap,
No doubt at all,
But history was here,
No tale too tall

That couldn't spark
Imagination,
Of olden times
Of our young nation...

When guns were law,
And fast was best,
In our days...
Of the wild, wild west.
