Tomb

Concerning Jesus' resurrection, Where do I now stand? Then, there I was; At the TOMB of the Lord. Along with several others, I had been with him for His entire ministry and heard Him inform all of us of what was to come. But at this empty TOMB, I am baffled. But why should I be baffled when I should be jubilant? Doubtful when I should be happy? Afraid when I should be courageous and brave? Anyway, I stared into the TOMB and asked, "What's next". It was not Thomas alone who doubted, but I also doubted. Has He indeed risen or has His body been stolen and hidden? Astounded and taken aback with a pounding heart, I looked all around. Why do doubts flood my soul when I, like a lion, should be bold? Even the thief on the cross with Jesus believed that He would rise. Did he not say, "Remember me when you come into your kingdom"? But there I stood at His TOMB, feeling alone, hopeless, and lost. With regards to Jesus' resurrection, where do I, we, you, and they stand? May we not be baffled but ever bold. May Christ be ever-rooted in our souls. 030724PS
