Tom the Tramp's Space/Time Continuum
This wandering planet travels
Through timeless time and
Spaceless space
This wonderous world
Home to the human race
Teeming with life-forms
of countless kind
Surely to impress
the most skeptic mind
Creatures flying through the atmosphere
Creatures crawling on the ground
Countless creatures swimming in the deep sea,
Those that burrow beneath the the earth
Or walk like you and me
As we swiftly traverse
The multiple-universe
and wonder what will be
Ahead for you and me...
If i had a saucer
to travel well beyond the sky
And searched for eons looking
Perhaps I'd find out why
This "arrow of time" they say
Has no reason it can't reverse
If time is really real, I mean
Right now it's but a guess
How marvelous it would be
to travel admidst the stars..
and be the first to see
beyond the earth or mars
Just to seek encounter
With other life I'm sure
Much like we on earth
Have continued to endure
What secrets would we learn
What wonders before our eye
Would touch our hearts and minds
Before our race may die
All I know for sure,
Or trust in God he may
Allow us to achieve this goal
on some far far future day.
