Tolerance

TOLERANCE Tolerance that was the main characteristic of our cat. Ever seen a xmas cat with antlers ? He spent all day with the little plastic antlers My four year-old daughter placed on his head, And wore the tiny Santa red coat with four leg holes As he sat on the windowsill, Suffering the mocking taunts of passing birds And condescending glances of neighborhood cats. But at the end of the day his reward was All the turkey skin and bones he could handle And a night in front of the tv next to the fire, Watching IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, oh yes ! While those birds and cats looked in, envious, Wishing they could wear antlers.

Loved the scene you set here a great childrens Xmas story! As to which of MY poems you think are best ;) the Dolly verse and many others respond to are fluff to me...perhaps no one is the best judge of their own work, but it's only a simple retelling of a child's pain..there is NO depth, no layering..way too simple for my taste LOL HUGS glad YOU liked it though [perhaps it hurt me too much?]
