Together We Were Healed

Your still here, because you knew,
The influence guided you instead of you,
Excuses can go on forever but the love can't be replaced,
No matter the manipulation or what anyone else has to say,
Those moments of regret taught you to love again,
The misjudgements that were fed to you made you search yourself instead,
And if everything was for the greater good not to see you fall,
Than my attemts were not in vain to help bring your heart back home,
I saw your strength depleating, the memories pulling you away,
I didn't want you to go through where I was at, I wanted to save you from that pain,
I know the paralzing feeling off loss, and the numbness to forget,
I know all about the many years of distraction instead of facing the feelings I felt,
One hand washes the other with tears of love to see,
I never regretted loving you, and my prayers for you to be set free,
If it meant I went beyond my comfort, I was willing to sacrifice,
For when I could not see myself, you opened up my eyes,
The awareness is not pretty, and the pain is very real,
But my heart will never forget you, together we were healed.
