Today's Poem
Today I have a verse;
a feeling; emotions in verse;
a poem for the universe
and harmony it has bred and it breeds.
My sister, a poet, has been hurt
and wounded by racist
poetry members who have unjust
statements in poetrysoup.
Them and us should realize that poetry
is an instrument for peace, not causing differences
in the language of skin color or culture;
we are where we are because of contributions of every race,
in different periods across the sands of time.
Let harmony be our instrument as poets,
to make a better world for our unborn generation.
