Today, your longing conquered me, deep and fierce

Today, your longing conquered me, deep and fierce, Throbbing in the chest like an unending wave, To life, I sing the weight, a withered symphony, Tapestries we weave then squander, forgetting them in turn. Today, my thoughts have flown, restless, Shattered by the sea that breaks chords on rocky shores, Like a dream getting lost in the abyss of the night, unfinished, Drifting in the mist of oblivion, without a guiding star. Today, my eyes sought you in the distant infinite, Just as people gaze after the falling stars at dusk, My charred soul, lost in mazes, finds its purpose, And seeks refuge, finds solace in the warmth of your shadow. Today, you are the torch lighting my restless sleep, You’ve built a bridge over the chasm between two lost spirits, In this fleeting eternity, our sacred time Shares its echoes, in a silence that divides and unites us.
