To Where You Are
to where you are
as I sit and reflect upon the moments in time of our journey
there are very few words to describe such a grateful painted pace
somehow always resembling the gentleness of a newborn birdie
time after time our friendship was filled with genuine grace
now on this day to remember I whisper hello to where you are
words you left behind echo through every hall large and small
images from each canvas remain in my mind will never vanish
thankful am I for the little birdie that you were from the start to the end
I see sky and earth I witness rivers and oceans knowing their worth
this being said is because of you for your heart and soul remain true
