To Where
Speeding through the tunnel,
The other side of nowhere, as my brain,
In a soporific chemical induced state,
Plays tricks.
Feeling safe, yet in an instant
The safety is pulled from my consciousness.
In a juxtaposition twixt thrill and fear,
Nicotine smoke catches me,
Senses enlivened to yet another toxin,
Another drug filling me.
He is my all, I know not why,
But as he takes me, reassures me,
Treats me with contempt yet passion,
I am resigned to it.
To the fact I will allow him,
To take me, own me, slowly poison me,
And as I grip on tight he takes me…..
To where?
