To the Night

When Sol expires in crimson fire
And daylight shadows flee,
When starlight weaves a tapestry
Across an endless sea,
When moonlight filters from on high
To cast its eerie glow,
To guide me through this darkened realm
As on my way I go,
Then I am happy in my world
And with myself content,
And I will cherish such a night
Until my life is spent.

oh me too J. Love a scene like that. I enjoy walking my dogs at night and listening to the quiet night sounds of the loons on the lake and the night birds. Good Stuff. God Bless, JB

I had always lived near big cities and the night sky was always obscured. When I finally saw it from Capilla Peak in the Manzano Mountains of New Mexico I couldn’t believe the view. Just goes to show you what no smog or lights can do for you. 11,000 feet up also helps. Thanks, John.
