To the lady behind my heart

#To_the_lady
To the lady who saw me,
when I saw less of a man in me,
When I was down and out,
When life made no sense,
When pain pushed me to the edge
When life has raffled all that I was.

One who chose me.
When I couldn't choose myself neither
One who called me by name
When I resonated nothing of its meaning
One who saw me,
While I was drenched in tatters
Shredded by hope and purpose

When life made no sense anymore
And there she was,
Sculptured in her unique calmness
Walked by my side, like ray of sunshine
Placing radiants to my dim and dime
Held my hand with care
Caressed my pain, like it was hers
Dressed my wounds and nursed my soul
Sworn a seed to my arid heart
Gave me hope, repurposed my fate

Today I woke up with a smile on my face
Ready for life, to live and to matter
In her presence, my life found a home
A placed so foreign to my yesterday
A place I can proudly say I belong

If mountains could sing,
her name they would serenade.
If forests could chant her role to my being,
nature would be at awe.

In her my life began
In her my soul was healed
In her I live
In her I matter
In her I strive, for better

To the lady who loved me
When I felt unlovable
One who said I wanna be yours
When I had lost faith in humanity
One who said I'm here to stay,
When everyone I trusted has left.
When longing was common
When pain was a norm to my bones
When tears was the only thing making sense to my life

When my heart was worn out,
torn by those who said I was their forever
She chose peace
She chose love
She chose happiness
She chose me
Chose us.

For she said, I too was worthy of abundance
Her kind of abundance, to my life
To the lady before my heart, my joy and peace of mind. If this life matters, this lady is the only reasons behind it and my heart shoots cupids to this lady
