To Taste Freedom

Education starts at home
Work kids' fingers to the bone
Pile up the chores after school
  Then on to homework
               -- That's the rule

No TV shows or quick little breaks
Nose to the grindstone 'til it aches
If you want them to taste freedom
Prepare kids to counter Red China's Kingdom

Hello Gershon ... once upon a time, a family survived on a single wage. Try doing that now with all the government taxes, fees, and a bloated public service - thanks again Gershon - Lindsay

One wage sure does seem like 'Once upon a time,' Lindsay. Spot-on. Take good care, Gershon

Congress would rather spend our taxes on weaponry so we can blast China if they don't sell us cyberskills at a cheap price!

I don't know. Looks like Congress is going to spend a lot of money domestically when the second infrastructure bill passes. (Not if, but when, I think...) Happy Thanksgiving!

It is sad that such grinding routine is forced upon children ! In our country, people of our age when we were children had the most relaxed learning pattern.... no homework, no assignments... no strict parental supervision, as they were all busy making a living...! Now the situation has drastically changed ! Great thoughts, dear friend !

Well, beware of the Chinese is all I can say. Sputnik woke up the USA in 1957. Doesn't seem like much can wake up the 'already woke' in the 21st century. :) gw

To those that expect a lot from themselves and others, much progress can be expected. Good poetry Gershon. Have a great Thanksgiving week my friend, Bill
