To Stand 2020 On Its Head -- a Common Thread

2020's bizarre happenings in the USA
from Portland to Seattle to our Capital's siege
'systemic racism' trumpeted in the street
'defund the police,' the crowd's angry bleat

riots and looting in so many downtowns
mayors let it happen; they just backed down
at the dawn of the new year, what many did fear
a mob insurrection in D.C., Donald Trump engineered

yet in all of these events, there's one common thread
that if reversed, can stand 2020's nightmare on its head
Allegedly virtuous ends never ever justify criminal means
~ They lead inevitably to consequences dire, unforeseen

Hello Gershon … it’s a worrying trend in the US if what we witness on the news here. Self interest groups appear to be more radical, however, I’d like to believe it’s a tiny percentage the news highlights - thanks Gershon - Lindsay

You know, it IS a relatively tiny percentage of radicals that the news highlight. The worrisome part, however, is the not inconsiderable percentage (perhaps as high as 33 - 40%) who support these nuts in principle. And the supporters include highly educated, accomplished people. That's the scary part to me. Oh, well... I hunker down in my cave, relatively oblivious to the winds of war. ~ gw

We need more hands folded, more heads bowed, raw knees. Every day belongs to the Lord. Let us offer Him a good one. God bless you!

Prayer is the only answer that makes any sense to all this nonsense going on. You are right, my dear friend. Thanks, Kim. Strength in Faith, Gershon
