To See the Snow

Winds will cease their sloppy blows
And the sky will spray its hose
Inside my heart remains warm
Inside I see a new storm

Children will play in their yards
And I with my broken shards
Inside my heart are cold walls
Inside I see the first snow falls

Trees will hug the frozen ground
And I, ventricles I found
I will hug warm my heart’s branch
That I bleed an avalanche

Families will gather round
And my heart its silent sound
I will listen to the blood
And get lost in my own flood

Winds will carry black old crows
And the sky will spray its hose
Inside my heart I will go
Feeding my eyes with the snow
