To Nowhere
you've got your bag all packed
your monkey on your back
you're on that one way track...to nowhere
where every friendly face
has vanished without a trace
now you're caught uo in the race...to nowhere
you thought it might be fun
playing the rebel son
now you're on that downhill run...to nowhere
wondering how you'd cope
without your precious dope
there on that slippery slope...to nowhere
nobody knows you now nobody wants to anyhow
time's on the fly,it's passing you by
you've got nothing to show and no place to go...
but nowhere
as slowly it pulls you down
into that muddy ground
steadily onward bound...to nowhere
and all hope begins to fade
with no one to give you aid
in that endless everglade...to nowhere
you're headed to nowhere-
it's a hard row to hoe there-
no seed that you sow there-
will ever grow there-
in the middle of nowhere-
it's a cold wind that blows there-
as anyone knows there-
who lies in repose there.....
in the middle of nowhere.
