To Make Love Without Love...

As you lay at night
In all your cozy covers
I hope you think of me
And not of others
I want to climb in there
and feel your skin
and maybe if I'm lucky
we may get to sin

but is it sinning
if we just don't care
with passions satisfied
and bodies bear
and hands wrapped
around waist and heart
the ending is the aim
from the start

is love the only way
to this deed
or is that the word
made to mislead
the hearts of those
that don't know they lied
but in the end
you hope to be satisfied

who knows the broken heart
that lies there after
and stares through the ceiling
and into the rafter
with the words I love you
exchanged before
as the clothes on our back
were thrown to the floor
