To Live By His Authority
leave all your burdens
at the foot of the cross
shed the garments of despair
and allow God to be the boss
get out from under
that heavy and dark shroud
come into the light of God
and with His grace stand bold and proud
talk to him daily
for of your thoughts He is concerned
embrace the Holy Ghost
and acquire the spirit to discern
give Him all the praise
and the glory that He is due
worship Him and ackowledge his son
Jesus as your savior true
relinquish the desires of the world
and reach for higher ground
study on the Word that He sent
and let peace in you be found
follow the path that He has set for you
and learn of your chosen destiny
as a new creation in Christ
you now live by His authority
