To Live and Breathe

To Live and Breathe ———-
———————————-
For time, again,
I dive into the Arts:
Colors my joy,
Lines my breath,
Words to tour
   feelings, and these
Pens and pastels are
My instruments to
Draw upon the music
Of my solace…
Or, my thrill
Of translating
The scenes I see.
Where
The Peace of God
May be All…
Surrounding…
Creating…
Stroke by stroke
I could know
Heart arias,
Symphonic
   pirouettes,
Poetic murals, and
Embroidered souls
With gold leaf
Embellishment.

In perfect pitch
The choir
   commences,
Sounding
What cannot be
   simply
   Spoken - only sung—
Birds, humanity’s
First music
Teachers, fly upon
The tuning winds!

Darlene, thank you for stopping by & for your kind, sympathetic thoughts. Since 2010, all but my carnival vertebrae are titanium, both shoulders lack ligament, so pain can get intense sometimes, & 15 mos ago I became Suddenly paralyzed waist down, so my bed is my place but I draw & poems come & Jesus is always holding my hand…I listen to books and music 24/7, which all keeps me busy. Then too, my dear husband & pups. Must say, tho, my dear friends, like you Darlene, here on psoup with whom to share the life of poetry, make my life well going on xoxo sally

Great, Sally. I love all that's classic. Let it be a sort of Va pensiero. To God glory be forever.

Victor, such a dear friend you are! I have hoped since youth to strive for elegance in my use of language in poems. I also love the classic & we agree we both love passion in poetry. Your pen has these…just this morn I listened to some Verdi I loved, new to me. I looked up va pensiero. Beautiful. Oh, that I might ever pen such beauty! XoXO
